Throughout the course of the conference, the projects were assessed according to professional and pedagogical standards. Standout and unique projects moved on to the final round, which was held in April, during which the students presented their work in English. The festive final event was held at the Weizmann Institute of Science on: 18.5.2018, during which first, second and third place winners were announced. 

First prize was a scholarship to attend the Young Scientists Camp in London in July-August of 2018, and the opportunity to take part in science, culture and society events with students from around the world.

Two additional winners received scholarships to take part in the Dr. Bessie Lawrence International Summer Science Institute and the International Scitech Camp at the Technion in the summer of 2018.

First place was awarded to Michael Keinan of Jerusalem’s Himmelfarb Religious Boys High School, an Alpha Program student at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He won a full scholarship to attend the Young Scientists Camp in London in July-August of 2018, and the opportunity to take part in science, culture and society events with students from around the world.

Second place was awarded to Amit Shabtai of Modiin’s Motta Gur Public High School, an Alpha Program student at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot. He won a scholarship to take part in the Dr. Bessie Lawrence International Summer Science Institute at the Davidson Institute for Science Education during the summer of 2018.

Fourth place was awarded to Sarit Sternberg of Ulpenat Ofra, a high school for girls in the Ofra community. Sarit is an Alpha Program student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalema and received an honorable mention.
