פרס ון ליר לעבודות גמר מצטיינות במדעי הרוח
מדי שנה, עשרות רבות של תלמידות ותלמידים מכל רחבי הארץ ומכל פלחי האוכלוסייה במדינת ישראל מגישים את עבודותיהם לתחרות פרס ון ליר למדעי הרוח. העבודות עוסקות בתחומים שונים של מדעי הרוח, לרבות ספרות, היסטוריה, תנ"ך, לשון, מחשבת ישראל, פילוסופיה, יהדות, ספרות ערבית, שפה ולשון ערבית, דת האסלאם, ארכיאולוגיה, אמנות, קולנוע ומוזיקה.
העבודות נבדקות על ידי ועדת שיפוט, שכוללת חוקרים ואנשי אקדמיה בכירים, אשר בוחרת מתוכן את העבודות המצטיינות באופן מיוחד. עבודות אלו מזכות את כותביהן בפרסים כספיים. הוועדה בוחרת גם חמש עבודות הראויות להערכה מיוחדת שמזכות את כותביהן בציון לשבח. הפרסים מחולקים בטקס שנערך במכון ון ליר בירושלים. בשנים האחרונות פרשֹ נשיא המדינה, מר ראובן ריבלין, את חסותו על טקס הענקת הפרסים, וחתני וכלות הפרס מבקרים במשכנו וזוכים לברכתו.
The Van Leer Prize for Excellence in High School Research Projects in the Humanities
Each year, tens of students from across the country and hailing from Israel's diverse population submit their research projects to the Van Leer Prize for Excellence in High School Research Projects in the Humanities competition. These research projects delve into various humanities sub-fields, such as literature, history, bible studies, linguistics, Jewish philosophy, general philosophy, Judaism, Arabic literature, Arabic language and linguistics, Islam, archaeology, art, theater, and music.
The research projects are reviewed by a panel of judges that includes senior researchers and academics. The judges select the most remarkable projects and reward their writers with monetary prizes. The panel also selects five research projects that they deem worthy of honorable mention. The prizes are handed out in a ceremony at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem. In recent years, President Reuven Rivlin, served as a patron of the ceremony, after which the winners would visit his official residence and receive personal commendations.

בפרס ון ליר לעבודות גמר מצטיינות במדעי הרוח תשפ״ב זכתה אנאבל שפיזר תלמידת תוכנית אידיאה באוניברסיטת תל אביב על עבודתה בנושא ״ספרות, סופרים ותהליך היצירה במציאות של סכסוך״ בהנחיית מניה כגן.
בציון לשבח זכתה עלמה אליעז תלמידת תוכנית אידיאה באוניברסיטת תל אביב על עבודתה בנושא ״השפעת תהליכים מגדריים - מעמדיים על מגמות באופנה בשנים 2020-2021.

Tom Viner, an Idea Program student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, received an honorable mention for his research within the framework of the Idea Program - Three in One Boat: Masculinity, Sexuality, and Family in “The Alphabet of Ben Sirach.”
Yarden Harel, an Idea Program student at the University of Tel Aviv, received an honorable mention for her research within the framework of the Idea Program - The Perception of Death in Tolkein’s Artwork: From Northern Mythology to Modern Myths.
