Post 9th grade - the first research summer camp 
The goal of the camp is to expose Program participants to the world of scientific research. The exposure is created by attending scientists’ lectures, visiting research laboratories and taking part in advanced experiments, within the Weizmann Institute of Science’s labs, as well as in labs located off-campus. This broad exposure will contribute to the students’ educated decision-making with respect to the field and subject of the research they will ultimately engage in, at the end of the camp.

With respect to the participants’ social-moral development, we will focus on them getting to know one and other and coming together as a group, as well as on guidelines for the generation of respectable conversation. During the camp, participants will take part in social activities and hikes as well.

10th grade - the first year of research

The students work on individual research projects in Weizmann Institute of Science laboratories, under the tutelage of personal advisors. With respect to the participants’ social-moral development, emphasis will be placed on the acquisition of social skills, communication skills and personal & interpersonal empowerment.

Over the course of the year, four two-day sessions are held. They include overnight stays at the Youth Village located on the Weizmann Institute of Science’s campus.

Post 10th grade - the second research summer camp - two weeks

This camp is dedicated towards the continuation of personal research projects. During the camp, participants take part in social activities, volunteer work and hikes, to become better acquainted with Israel and its people.

11th grade - completion of the research project and its presentation at a scientific conference

The students will finish writing up their personal research projects and will present them at a scientific conference, to be held at the Davidson Center for Scientific Education, located within the Weizmann Institute of Science, in front of scientists and educators. The goal of the conference is to provide the students with an opportunity to present their unique and innovative work, and experience being a researcher by presenting their findings to their peers. What’s more, the students’ work will be presented on posters and in abstracts, as is customary in the science world. With respect to the participants’ social-moral development, emphasis will be placed on leadership, social involvement and contribution to the community.
